Is Bend on Little Man Down There Always Associated With Peyronie s Disease?

November 20th, 2008

During penetrative sexual relations, most men experience penis bending, the question is, do all of them have peyronie s disease? Of course the answer is not. As we already know, Peyronie s disease is characterized by curve or bend in the penis during erection. There are many variations of bending penis. Men should be aware that it is perfectly normal for penis to bend or curve somewhat, as few penises are straight as an arrow. A certain degree of curvature of the penis is considered normal, a gentle bend of up to 25 degrees will often not cause too many problems, and indeed most men do have a penis which bends a little bit. Many men are born with benign condition commonly referred to as congenital curvature, a condition where one side of the penis is rather shorter than the other. This causes the penis to point in a direction other than directly forward, while still having a relatively straight shaft. Such curvature is not caused by Peyronie s Disease.

A natural bend can happen as the result of the urethra (the urinary system) being shorter than the tissues that enlarge during an erection. If the bend does not interfere with your sex life it is better to leave it alone as it is rare to find a man with a perfectly straight penis.

There are several medical condition related to bend penis, peyronie s disease is just one of them, and the other condition is urethral stricture, hypospadias and penis injury. The bending of the erect penis in Peyronies disease is much more severe, can be painful, and often prevents sexual intercourse. In some cases of Peyronie s disease, however, the penis can form a J or a corkscrew, making intercourse impossible. Another condition, rare in adults, which will cause the penis to bend downwards, is called chordée, where the tissue around the urethra (the urine tube) fails to develop normally.
